Product Description

Carrageenan is an additive used to thicken, emulsify, andpreserve foods and drinks. It's a natural ingredient that comes from redseaweed (also called Irish moss).

Carrageenan is a thickening factor and food grade additive. It is obtained from red seaweed or red algae. Available in free flow white powder form, this substance has 104 degree F/40 degree C melting point. This product readily dilutes in hot water. Its boiling point is 158 degree F/70 degree C boiling point. Carrageenan is used as one of the key ingredients of chocolate milk and yogurt. It belongs to the family of linear sulfated polysachharides. Ph value of this substance ranges between 8.0 to 8.8.Standard of this substance has been verified on the basis of its storage life, chemical stability, composition and purity level.
