Product Description

Welan gum is a thickening agent whose properties make itwell suited to use in high-temperature industrial applications and oilfielddrilling muds. Description: Welan gum is a specialty fermentationpolysaccharide produced by fermentation of Sphingomonas sp.

Available in white powder form, Welan Gum is a type of food additive that has unique rheological attributes. This water soluble substance has 70 degree C to 80 degree C melting point range and its vapor density is 26.25 lbs/ft3. Off white in color, its boiling point is 200 degree C. Known for its multipurpose role, Welan Gum is also used as suspending factor, lubricant, emulsifier, adhesive and thickening factor. Its application can be noticed in ink production, oil refining and food processing industries. This substance is effective in improving flow characteristics and dehydration decreasing features of cement even under high temperature condition.
